Two Latinos are running for office

ROCHESTER — Two local Latinos are running for office in November.

Peter Vázquez is running for the 138th Assembly seat on the Republican line against incumbent Harry Bronson, a Democrat.

Vázquez is a disabled U.S. Army veteran. A native of Rochester, he is the founder of Simply Served Process Servers. Recently, he earned the master of strategic leadership degree at Roberts Wesleyan College, according to www.petersonvazquez.com. Bronson, also a Rochester native who has served on the Monroe County Legislature, was elected to the state Assembly in 2010, according to assembly.state.ny.

Attorney Leticia Astacio won a three-way Democratic primary for Rochester City Court judge in September and will run unopposed.
