United Way seeks to recognize community leader

ROCHESTER — The United Way of Greater Rochester’s Circulo Latino is seeking nominations for its 8th-annual Community Leadership Award.

The award recognizes an individual of Latino descent who exemplifies servant leadership, the spirit of volunteerism and commitment to the betterment of the Rochester community, according to information from the United Way. Last year’s award was presented to Emeterio Otero, executive dean of Monroe Community College’s Damon City Campus.

Nominees must have a track record of leadership, passion and a strong commitment to the local community by volunteering or financial commitment.
