ROCHESTER — The Greater Rochester Summer Learning Association has a new director.
Luis Peréz, who has headed up the summer Horizons at Harley Student Enrichment Program for the past six years, will now become the association’s director of program support and expansion, according to a press release from GRSLA.
The association, which is based at The Children’s Institute at Village Gate, is a consortium of local educational organizations working to expand high-quality summer learning opportunities. Last year, GRSLA provided programs for more than 1,000 students at multiple sites.
Robin Mitchell, formerly with the Special Olympics of New York, has replaced Peréz as Horizons at Harley’s executive director.
