RPD asks community to help with recruiting efforts

To assist with the the City of Rochester’s efforts to hire more police officers, the Rochester Police Department is turning to the community.

The RPD seeks individuals who are willing to serve as community recruiters, according to information from the department. These individuals may be city residents, clergy, business owners, or education and government officials who could identify qualified candidates who are interested in law enforcement. The focus would be on recruiting city residents.

Anyone selected as a community recruiter will receive training and materials from RPD’s Professional Development Section. For more information, visit cityofrochester.gov/communityrecruiters or e-mail RPDEmpowersRochester@cityofrochester.gov.
