ROCHESTER — The Rochester City Council unanimously adopted a $501.6 million budget, which will include funding for police body cameras and additional educational programs at the city’s recreation centers.
The budget is $2 million less than last year, according to information from city officials.
The spending priorities were set with input from city residents through public forums and a phone survey. In addition to the cameras and recreation programs, the budget also includes funding for housing repair and rehabilitation programs, vacant house demolitions, roof replacements and continued operation of the Durand-Eastman Beach for swimming.
