Parade board has new president

ROCHESTER — The Puerto Rican Parade board of directors recently elected a new president.

Wanda Martínez-Johncox, a behavioral telehealth clinical technician at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Canandaigua, succeeds Geena Cruz. During Cruz’s four-year tenure, the organization became incorporated, assisted with community service projects and developed collaborations with other Latino organizations, according to information from Cruz.

Martínez has volunteered with the parade and served on the board for several years as well as on the boards of other local agencies. For more information, e-mail puertoricanparade@gmail.com.
