Literacy Volunteers of Rochester will host information sessions this month for individuals interested in becoming tutors or digital literacy navigators.
Following the sessions, potential volunteers can register for training workshops.
Tutors are needed to help adults learn to read, write or speak English, or to improve math skills. Prior teaching experience or foreign language proficiency is not required. Digital literacy volunteers provide on-site, drop-in service to anyone in need of technology assistance. Literacy Volunteers currently has a roster of 50 navigators who help with a range of needs, from learning a new computer skill to completing a task on a computer.
