ROCHESTER — Literacy Volunteers of Rochester is offering information sessions this fall for anyone interested in becoming a tutor.
Many adults locally are in need of tutors to help them learn to read, write or speak English, according to information from the literacy organization. Some adults also need math tutoring.
Following the one-hour preview sessions, which will continue through November, volunteers may register for a training workshop. Tutors do not need to speak other languages or have prior teaching experience.
