Literacy group offers training

Literacy Volunteers of Rochester has scheduled a series of informational and training sessions this fall for anyone interested in helping adults learn to read.

Many adults in the area are in need for tutors to help them learn to read, write and speak English, according to a press release from the organization. Volunteers do not need to know a foreign language or have prior teaching experience. Sessions will be held at 1600 South Ave.
