Latino theater director takes on RBTL role

Rochester Latino Theatre Co’s executive director will now also be working for the Rochester Broadway Theatre League.

Annette Ramos and Holly Valentine, a Gates-Chili School District teacher, will serve as associate directors of education and community engagement. They replace Robert Sagan, who will retire this month after 17 years with RBTL.

Ramos, who also was one of the founders of the Latino Theatre Co., also serves as a Latino arts and cultural consultant for the Ibero-American Action League and formerly worked as manager of community engagement with Young Audiences of Rochester. She also works as an arts educator in the Rochester City School District.

The two women will oversee RBTL’s arts education programs — including Stars of Tomorrow, NYC Bound and Summer Stars — that have served thousands of local students annually. For more information, visit rbtl.org.
