ROCHESTER — Daisy Rivera-Algarin, founder of Latinas Unidas, received the "W" award earlier this month from the Rochester Women’s Network.
Rivera-Algarin was honored with the 28th-annual award during a June 5 ceremony at the Rochester Plaza Hotel.
The award recognizes a local women who goes above and beyond to help other women succeed in their professional and personal lives, according to information from rwn.org. In addition to her work with Latinas Unidas, Rivera-Algarin is an economic development and marketing specialist for the city of Rochester.
