Latina Unidas is accepting nominations for its annual Reconocimiento and Scholarship Awards, which highlight the achievements and contributions of local Latinas.
Awards will be presented for professional achievement, inspirational leadership and volunteer service. There also is an award called the Young Latina Leader, which is given to a high-school student who serves as a role model both personally and academically.
The deadline to submit nominations for the awards is Nov. 1 at 11:59 p.m.
Nominations may be submitted at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSda7nWQBJToP4gCym7d_M-aK-_dqzGiAZKi-ztWmSua4lsltA/viewform, or they may be mailed to Latina Unidas, PO Box 64611, Rochester, NY 14624.
To be eligible, a nominee must be Hispanic and a resident of either Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Yates, Orleans or Wayne counties.
The awards will be presented during the 31st-Anniversary Luncheon Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at The DoubleTree by Hilton Rochester, 111 Jefferson Road, Rochester.
