Institute seeks Christmas project participants

The Farmworker Women’s Institute is looking for individuals and organizations in the community to participate in its second-annual Adopt-A-Farmworker Family for Christmas project.

During its initial efforts last year, the project provided gifts to 10 local migrant worker families with donations from church groups and community members, according to information from Farmworker Legal Services of New York, of which the Women’s Institute is a part. Participants are asked to provide gifts for the mother and children in each family as well as a gift card to a local grocery or department store.
