PITTSFORD — A national social-justice advocate will lead a two-day seminar, "Engaging the Impasse of Immigration," next week at St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry.
Immaculate Heart of Mary Sister Nancy Sylvester will direct the discussion on how to engage in civil discourse around the divisive issue. Sister Sylvester is director of the Institute for Communal Contemplation and Dialogue. She also is former national coordinator of NETWORK, a national Catholic social-justice lobby, and former president of the Leadership Council of Women Religious.
