ROCHESTER — Hilda Rosario Escher, Ibero-American Action League’s executive director and chief executive officer, was named a 2012 Woman of Distinction by New York’s Senate.
Rosario Escher received the award from Sen. Joseph Robach in the senate chambers in Albany last month, according to www.nysenate.gov/story/hilda-rosario-escher.
With more than a quarter of a century of experience in delivering human services to the Rochester community, Rosario Escher continually provides an innovative approach and unique perspective, according to Robach. And as a native of Puerto Rico and Ibero’s head, she is the voice of the Rochester Hispanic community with her efforts focused on strategic planning, developing leaders at Ibero and being an agent of change, according to information on the state Senate’s website.
