The Rochester Latino Rotary Club is hosting a free “Opioids in Our Community” forum on May 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Heart and Soul Community Church, 1185 N. Clinton Ave., Rochester.
The forum will feature Narcan training, a question-and-answer panel discussion and information about resources available in the Rochester community. Additionally, a light dinner and child care will be offered.
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation analysis of information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 3,932 Hispanics overdosed on opioids across the United States in 2017. New York state accounted for 517 of those deaths.
