ROCHESTER — The chief medical officer at AIDS Care has been honored for his work locally by the Rochester Area Task Force on AIDS.
Dr. Roberto Corales, who joined the Community Health Network a decade ago as a staff physician, received the HIV Clinical Provider Award, according to a press release. Since coming to Rochester, Corales has improved access to many clinical trials previously not available in the area and has spearheaded participation by local health professionals at national and international conferences.
AIDS Care, which was formed last year from the merger of local health agencies, is now the only organization in the Finger Lakes focused solely on providing care to patients with HIV/AIDS.
