The city of Rochester has formed a new partnership for its annual Clean Sweep program.
In addition to its continued affiliation with Rochester Community Baseball, the city has partnered with Keep America Beautiful, the largest organization in the U.S. aimed at community improvement, according to a city press release. The city and the organization share the goal of curbing littering and improving recycling to beautify communities, city officials said.
The partnership will give the city access to more programs and support services.
Clean Sweep Saturday will be held from 8 a.m. to noon May 6 beginning with breakfast at Frontier Field. Volunteers will then be assigned to clean neighborhoods around the city. Each volunteer also will receive a free ticket to that day’s baseball game.
