The Rochester Hispanic Business Association is accepting nominations for its annual Hispanic Business Person of the Year Award.
The award, which will be presented at the association’s annual gala luncheon scheduled for Sept. 30 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, recognizes an individual who is a positive role model, according to a press release. Nominees also should have enhanced the Latino community with significant and positive contributions in economic development, business, government, education, science, music, arts, sports or social services.
Last year, Rochester City Councilwoman Jacklyn Ortíz, a State Farm insurance agent, received the award.
Nomination forms are available at the association’s Web site, www.RochesterHNA.com. For more information, contact Michele Hefferon at 585-256-4614 or Michele.Hefferon@RBAlliance.com. The nomination deadline is June 30.
