ROCHESTER — The Ibero-American Action League is seeking nominations for the Alicia Torres Award, which is presented at the agency’s annual luncheon in October.
The award seeks to recognize individuals in the community who demonstrate a lifelong commitment and dedication to improving the well-being of Puerto Ricans and other Latinos in the city of Rochester, according to information from Ibero. Alicia Torres donated her time to many individuals and community groups and never wanted recognition for her work, which included ensuring the continued success of the Puerto Rican Festival.
To obtain a nomination application, contact Yolanda Albino at 585-256-8900 or send an e-mail to yalbino@iaal.org.
