Association set to honor Rochester businessman

ROCHESTER — Emeterio "Pete" Otero will be honored as the Hispanic Businessman of the Year at Rochester Hispanic Business Association’s annual gala next month.

Otero, who is currently executive dean of Monroe Community College’s Damon City Campus, also is the vice chairman of the Rochester Downtown Development Corp., according to information from the RHBA. He also sits on the board for several community agencies including Ibero-American Action League, the YMCA of Greater Rochester, the Rochester Rotary Club and the Urban League of Rochester.

He was born in Cataño, Puerto Rico, and raised in Buffalo.
