The feast day of St. John the Baptist, the patron saint of Puerto Rico, was celebrated June 23 with a Mass at Rochester’s St. Michael Church. Following the liturgy, the faithful processed to the parish hall for a reception. During the reception, the hall was dedicated as St. John the Baptist Community Center in honor of the Puerto Ricans and other Latinos who have celebrated their faith at St. Michael for 55 years.
