ROCHESTER — Foodlink is boosting its efforts to bring healthy foods to underserved neighborhoods.
With a $41,300 grant from the Citizens Bank Foundation, the regional food bank is adding a second mobile Curbside Market as part of its food access programs, according to a press release from Foodlink.
The first Curbside Market truck, which sells fruits and vegetables from local farmers at wholesale cost, began operations last summer, according to an El Mensajero Católico article at http://bit.ly/1l94Hzr.
Stops include public housing units, community health centers and neighborhood organizations. The mobile markets will run through November.
