ROCHESTER — A recently released book about the questions patients should ask their doctors was written by a local doctor and physician’s assistant.
The Top 5 Questions to Ask your Doctor gives readers the important questions they should ask their doctors about various medical conditions, according to www.top5questions.net. The authors, Jim Sutton and Dr. Sagar Nigwekar, categorize the questions by those conditions for reference. The questions were submitted and reviewed by hundreds of doctors, specialists, nurses, medical students and patients.
Sutton has worked in family medicine for 23 years. Currently he is an adjunct clinical professor for Rochester Institute of Technology and teaches physician-assistant students at Clinton Family Health Center in Rochester. Nigwekar practices internal medicine at Rochester General Hospital as well as teaches medical students and resident physicians at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He recently was selected to work at the nephrology divisions of Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital, part of Harvard Medical School.
