Parishioners of Rochester’s St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish will take part in an ecumenical walk for peace on Good Friday, April 18.
Participants will gather at noon at Corpus Christi Church on East Main Street and walk toward St. Michael Church on North Clinton Avenue, making 14 stops along the way. At each stop, participants will pause for reflections and pray for peace with the Stations of the Cross. Members of the community also will dress up and play different characters of the Passion.
The participants are expected to arrive at St. Michael Church at 2:30 p.m. Transportation will be available for those unable to walk the distance, as vans will join the process and stop at each of the stations. The vans will bring people from St. Michael back to Corpus Christi to get their cars.
