Cultural diversity luncheon series set

The diocese’s Parish & Clergy Services will host a luncheon series promoting cultural diversity and ministry beginning this month.

The series is designed to promote interaction among diocesan and parish leaders, according to information from the Office of Cultural Diversity.

Each luncheon event will begin with an optional 12:15 Mass celebrated by Bishop Salvatore R. Matano followed by lunch and the presentation in the diocesan Pastoral Center’s Bishop Hickey Conference Center, 1150 Buffalo Road, Gates.

The dates and speakers are:

* Glen McClure, who will discuss Franciscan spirituality and the arts on March 26.

* Deacon George Dardess, who will speak about his book, The Militarization of the U.S./Mexico Border and the Challenges to Migrant Ministry, on April 30.

* Devadasan N. Premnath, who will speak about the challenges and possibilities of cross-cultural ministry on May 28.
