Students from the Next Generation Leaders Program, run by the American Red Cross of Greater Rochester chapter, recently conducted two preparedness presentations in the community. One of these presentations took place at Ibero-American Action League’s Centro de Oro, and the students conducted the presentation in Spanish. Twenty-two Latino seniors greatly benefited from this presentation. The second preparedness presentation took place at Hobie Creek Apartments in Irondequoit. In addition to attending weekly leadership sessions, Next Generation Leaders Program students have been quite busy learning about the work of our organization, training in preparedness and CPR, and coordinating blood drives among other things. We currently have three official Red Cross Clubs at Monroe High School, Rochester Early College International High School and the Chapter Service Learning Club. We are very proud of our students.
