Puerto Rican Festival to host 2023 Three Kings event

The Puerto Rican Festival of Rochester will mark Three Kings Day with a celebration downtown during the annual ROC Holiday Village winter festival.

The celebration will take place Dec. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Simcona Gingerbread House in the ROC Holiday Village, which is located at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Rochester. There will be live music and crafts, and the event is free for the whole family.

Members of the Hispanic community gather to celebrate “El Dia De Los Reyes,” or Three Kings Day. The feast day, also known as the Epiphany, takes place each year on Jan. 6 and commemorates the three Wise Men’s visit to the newborn baby Jesus.
