Hispanic business group to honor Rochester businessman

Victor Antonetti Jr. will be honored as the Hispanic Businessperson of the Year at the Rochester Hispanic Business Association’s annual gala luncheon.

The luncheon will take place Sept. 20 at the Joseph A. Floreano Riverside Convention Center. A pre-lunch reception will begin at 11:15 a.m., with the lunch program beginning at noon.

Antonetti currently serves as director of marketing and sponsorships for Poder 97.1, Rochester’s first 24-hour Latinx radio station and an affiliate of Ibero-American Action League.

Orlando Ortiz, president of the Rochester Puerto Rican Festival, will be the keynote speaker. He was named the Hispanic Businessperson of the Year in 2019. Norma Holland, director of public relations and engagement in the Office of Equity and Inclusion at University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, will serve as the emcee.

More than 100 people are expected to attend, including Rochester Mayor Malik Evans and state Sen. Jeremy Cooney.
