We need to support our local businesses

This is the perfect time for local shopping, thus sponsoring local small businesses during the Christmas holidays.

It is very important for the local community to support each other. Buying from local small businesses can have a significant impact on the local economy and also help the community. When clients make the decision to leave their zone to shop, they are supporting the zones that are not their own.

As a business owner, the most important thing for me is to bring my products and services to the community. When others in my community shop in my business, it motivates me to bring free services to the housing and community centers. Having my own business has helped me have an extra income. The support of other agencies that have given me the opportunity to conduct talks on how to start a business and share the health and nutrition programs we have developed helps others to do the same.

To be a business owner is not difficult; the difficulty lies in keeping it, particularly if you only have one client. It is important to let others know your business and the product you sell starting with your own community. That is the reason why it is important to establish community relationships and help the community understand the need to support local small business owners.

Having the ease to work your own business whenever you want is another challenge you must overcome. Having your own business is not to work on it when you feel like it. You have to work on it consistently. This is the reason you have to get out and let others know what it is you do. If other people do not give you the opportunity to present your business and services, then as a small business owner one has to get out of one’s own zone.

Thus, the support of my business by local clients has led to recognition by agencies that then learn of my interest in helping and guiding others. It is very important for local small business owners to unite and to bring the message not only of the need for our communities to support us, but also to respect us and understand the importance of being able to offer our knowledge and products to our local communities.

The benefit of a business owner is that the money paid to the local government by the local small businesses is used to finance many things, such as roads, public schools, sidewalks and parks. The money small business owners pay in such taxes as sales taxes is used to help finance these activities.

As a small business owner, I participate in the religious community, I play sports and I socialize with community members, and I care about the people who visit my business. Due to my personal engagement in the community, I make an effort to provide the best service possible to my clients.
