Advertising Account Executive


Reaching a quarter-million area residents in print and approximately 100,000 unique online visitors each month, the Catholic Courier and El Mensajero Católico are looking for an advertising sales representative to develop relationships, plan strategies, and present advertising packages to new and existing accounts in a defined territory in Rochester/Monroe County and surrounding counties.

This position features a stable, long-term marketing strategy; a manageable list of product offerings; a team-oriented work environment; and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of award-winning print and electronic publications dedicated to serving the community.

Compensation includes a modest base salary plus accelerating commissions as you meet and exceed challenging but achievable goals; generous medical and dental coverage; life insurance; employer funded and self-funded retirement plans; paid time off (sick, vacation and personal days) and paid holidays; full reimbursement of mileage and other authorized employee expenses; and pre-tax spending accounts for medical, child-care and other IRS-approved expenses.

Successful sales track record, preferably in print and/or online media; a stable work history; skill in prospecting, presentation, persuasion and nurturing client relationships; and the organization and self-discipline to meet sales quotas and deadlines. You’ll also need strong customer service, copy writing & basic-math skills; computer proficiency; a valid NYS driver’s license; and reliable, insured transportation.

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Bilingual (English-Spanish) candidates strongly preferred.
