Endowment fund seeks applicants

ROCHESTER -- Applications are currently being accepted for the Hispanic Scholarship Endowment Fund.

The 22nd-annual scholarship program is run by Ibero-American Action League, which will host a gala honoring recipients on June 17 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Last year, 63 students were chosen to receive scholarship awards based on their academic achievements and engagement in the community. The scholarships are awarded by Ibero's Hispanic Scholarship Endowment Fund, as well as by area colleges, community organizations, individuals and companies.

High-school seniors with at least a 3.0 grade-point average and who live in Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Wayne or Erie counties are eligible.

Additional criteria and application information are available at iaal.org. The deadline for applications is March 17.
