Rochester mayor wins award

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren recently received the 2017 national "Small Business Advocate Award."

Warren was recognized for her advocacy and innovative leadership by Partner America, a public-private partnership created by the U.S. Conference of Mayors, according to a press release from city officials. Partner America assists mayors with providing resources and information to small businesses so they may thrive within and outside of their local communities.

Past award recipients include Birmingham Mayor William Bell, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic and St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay.
