Monroe County initiative urges shopping local

Monroe County has launched an online registry designed to promote shopping local.

According to a press release from Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo, local small businesses are encouraged to sign up online to participate in the “Shop Monroe” registry. More than 17,000 small businesses provide more than 25,000 local jobs throughout the county, according to information from the county.

A link to the Shop Monroe online registry form is now active on the home page of Monroe County’s website, monroecounty.gov. Small businesses interested in joining the registry may apply at https://www2.monroecounty.gov/planning-local-biz-form.
